If you have ever been rejected for a grant proposal, (and let’s be honest – that’s the majority of us) and you would like to help us to provide feedback to develop a more equitable peer review process then we would be grateful if you could please take some time to complete our survey.
Take part in the Research Phoenix survey
This work is being undertaken as a collaboration between Wellcome, Lancaster University and Proposal Analytics. If you have specifically applied to Wellcome for funding please read on.
Wellcome are keen to improve the support that they are providing to ECR’s through feedback processes following grant applications. We are therefore keen to hear from academics who have applied to the Wellcome Trust for grants as ECR’s from 2009 onwards. Wellcome has been emailing their database of applicants over the last few weeks but if you have not receive an email and you would like to take part, then please click on the link below to get in touch with the team and request the Wellcome Survey.
Before taking part in either survey, it is important that you read the relevant ‘Participant Information Sheet’ below.
If you want further information please get in touch with the team.
What else can I do?
We are trying to normalise failure. In the same way that we focus on our successes in our CV’s, we want to take a moment to also acknowledge our life’s failures. From our failings, we can learn and become stronger. You can interact with the failure project and at the same time support our academic community by completing your own CV of FAILURE and sharing it with us.
Simply download the CV of FAILURE template below, fill it in and email it to the team or take a photo and Tweet it – being sure to include us @FailurePheonix
